The Research Tech position provides an essential role to the company R&D department who is specialized in procuring and maintaining information for the Scosche 12V car audio database. In an R&D support role, the Research Tech also assists in various aspects of the product development cycle, works directly with Executives or Product Managers as well as I.T. for the support research-based information that is used or published on the Web environment.

 

Research Tech

 

Job Requirements:

• Source Vehicles for Special Projects

Vehicle Research:

 

• Perform research on new (or needed) vehicles to assess product applications, document disassembly instructions and create Autosound Encyclopedia page files.
• Document and photograph the precise disassembly steps on vehicles in reference to stereos, speakers, amplifiers or other audio equipment.
• Take precise measurements/dimensions of stereos, speaker cavities and clearances.
• Catalog wire codes.
• Test current products to determine compatibility for current database updates.
• Maintain Autosound Encyclopedia file database including creating new files, uploading and editing files on company server for internal and external customer/web use.
• Update and maintain product application database used on company web server (i.e. vehicle-product lookup, B-2-B portals and retail customer web pages).
• Maintain a list of new (or existing) vehicles needed for Research (R&D) purposes.
• Assist 12V designers in the field with prototype or product test fits, procuring rental cars and ordering dash parts as needed.
• Assist 12V interface team on interface projects as needed.
• Evaluate/Test fit competitor products as needed.
• Dealer/Research relationships.
• Maintain face-to-face relations with existing research contacts.
• Maintain a list of current dealer research contacts.
• Introduce Scosche to open new research contacts as needed.
• Maintain all vehicle research assets on company server.

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

• Assist with special research projects or endeavors with OE Vendor/Industry partners as needed (i.e. Kenwood, Rockford, Pioneer, Alpine, etc.).
• May be needed to travel locally or long distance for specific industry events (i.e. measuring sessions, vendor meetings or trade shows).
• Assist with training or communicating pertinent information to other departments (i.e. Emailing Sales new vehicle or research information).
• Provide input for new product ideas.
• Assist in the design and fabrication of product displays and/or showcase vehicles for trade shows or other uses.
• Assist in the production of 12V product training or demonstration videos.

Inventory Control Associate

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for the replenishment and organization of inventory in their proper picking and overstock locations throughout the warehouse by following inventory control instructions and FIFO rotation of products.
• Consolidate inventory per established procedures.
• Accurately conduct cycle counts daily through an RF scanner
• Verify accuracy in locations based on the QAD System.
• Investigate and assist to correct discrepancies according to company policies.
• Examine products to verify/ confirm that meets product specifications, barcodes, quantity and description.
• Assist with loading and/or unloading product from trailer or truck using proper equipment or by hand if needed.
• Transport product down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Operate company vehicles to transport materials in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, regulations and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving to areas where they are needed multiple times a day.
• Monitor in-transit and other non-stocking locations for accuracy and timeliness of movement.

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

• Complete daily maintenance checks and inspections on assigned vehicles and equipment. Document problems and communicate needed repairs to management.
• Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned.

 

 

Physical Demands And Abilities:

 

• Frequently lift, push, or move product up to 70 lbs. by following proper lifting procedure. Frequently reach up to 72” to stack, adjust body position to unstack pallets and hand cart. Constantly bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk and twist while loading and unloading product. Retrieving products from trailer for long periods of time.
• Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets, forklifts, pickers and personal protective equipment.

 

 

Qualifications And Skills Requirements:

 

• 3-4 yrs. of experience in Inventory Control/Warehouse.
• Able to work 40 hrs. per week with occasional overtime, but willing to work extended hrs. during season including weekends as needed.
• Ability to interpret packing slips and enter information in the QAD system manually or using RF scanner.
• Bilingual English-Spanish a plus, but not necessary.
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) or Google applications. Abel to type 30-35 WMP average.
• Minimum 1 year of experience driving Forklift.
• Operate hand truck, order picker, and manual or electric pallet jack a plus.
• Driver’s license must be up to date and driving records must be clean—subject to review by Human Resources.

Sr. Sales Administrator

• Creates Sales reports for sales management and sales staff detailing a variety of conditions with options for various market conditions.
• Track monthly sales performance for internal and international retail sales team, identifying areas of weakness so sales management can address to improve sales.
• Makes recommendations for changes in sales or promotional efforts to improve sales performance.

• Advanced/expert knowledge of Excel (including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work with all levels of personnel

Product Manager

 

A few of the challenges you will face include:

 

• Deliver product under budget, resource and time constraints established in the program plan.
• Awareness of risks, identifying contingency plans when needed.
• Participate in product introductions within groups and departments, including executive staff.
• Participate in process and business workflow improvements in product life cycle, cost-downs and internal division processes.
• Understand program requirements involving internal and external customers and communicate these requirements to multiple tiered audiences.
• Manage each product from planning, development, design working prototype, testing, sample build to mass production.
• Ensure project schedule, cost, spec and launch volume are met.
• Visit manufacturing factories frequently to ensure all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. Be the Scosche primary point of contact for the factory.
• Attend development builds and ensure production readiness at the factory for new NPI projects.
• Manage material in house readiness including mechanical parts, enclosures and manufacturing fixtures and jigs.
• Coordinate supply chain review and assure sub-supplier material fulfillment.
• Provide as needed status report of projects managed, escalation path, contingency plans to ensure that stakeholders and cross functional teams are informed.
• Create risk management lists and contingency plans as needed.
• Responsible for all aspects of product management - including the development and marketing of products.
• Identify new product concepts for anticipated needs in our industry niches.
• Ensure that the assigned product line/s is/are recognised as the best line by resellers and end users in the industry for value, quality, selection, innovation, features, reliability and ease of use.
• Develop, Communicate and Execute Product, Channel, and Go To Market Strategies and be responsible for assigned product categories P&L and work closely with Sales Teams to convert opportunities into revenue.
• Monitor categories performance and flag issues to be resolved and make recommendations on how to drive incremental opportunities.
• Review insights, market share reports and use this analysis to provide recommendations to executive leadership.
• Drive the introduction process of new products and ensure to provide best in class product launch materials.
• Review Bill Of Materials (BoM’s) for new parts and bundles.
• Prepare and suggest pricing for new items and price changes for existing items.
• Work with QA Manager to ensure that products meet required compliance and for maintenance of compliance paperwork and records.

 

 

Educational/ Experience Requirements:

 

• Degree in Business or equal experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and engineering is strongly preferred.
• Computer skills including Tracking software, Word, Excel, Google preferred.
• 5+ years of product and project management experience required. Knowledge and experience involving initial concepts through product delivery.
• 3-5 years of product development and manufacturing experience preferred.

Supply Chain Planning Manager

 

A few of the challenges you will face include:

 

• Develop Business Processes and serve as subject-matter expert for improvements
• Provide leadership and strategic direction as it relates to S&OP Planning, Supply Planning, and Production Scheduling activities with team and all stakeholders
• Perform multi-site and multi-level planning to ensure supply from suppliers and internal sites to achieve optimum service level objectives
• Analyze demand regularly and identify inconsistencies and data with forecasts vs. actual sales
• Manage and ensure optimum standard and safety stock inventory levels are maintained based on material criticality, lead time, and frequency of use
• Accountable for publishing results and glide paths for Planning KPIs such as Customer Service, Production Conformance, Inventory Days on Hand Status, and Inventory Aging status reports
• Maintain materials lifecycle status in ERP (i.e. create, update, obsolete)
• Provide supply chain visibility to the sales and marketing teams; In situations where the demand exceeds supply, discuss and align with the internal teams
• Facilitate development and execution of accurate and data-based supply/demand forecasting to enable capacity planning, inventory target setting, and performance reporting
• Develop and standardize global metrics to KPIs, including external benchmarks, to monitor performance and allow for data driven decision making
• Manage programs for the Supply Chain Planning team in the development of constantly evolving strategies
• Managing all SKU’s through the entire supply chain and communicate disruptions in product availability to Senior Management
• Leading/participating in multidisciplinary teams to resolve manufacturing/supply issues
• Collaborate with Accounting & Fulfillment Manager on inventory reconciliation and adjustments
• Drive proactive supply optimization strategies that reduce inventory holding and increase service levels
• Track and improve ocean vs air split for inbound logistics
• Own several highly visible processes and deliver updates to executive stakeholders
