Installation Instructions
Existing Antenna Replacement:
- To remove the existing antenna: Unscrew the mast and the lock nut and then remove the antenna base from under the fender.
- Continue to step #2 in the New Installation section
New Antenna Installation:
- Find a location on the fender or suitable location with sufficient clearance for the antenna base and no obstructions undernearth and drill a 1" hold.
- Route the cable through the hold, into the vehicle and on to the back of the stereo. If possible, follow the same path as the original antenna cable.
- Remove the mast and unscrew the lock nut and disassemble the base parts. Swivel the rocking arms vertically and insert the vase into the hold dreilled in step #2. Once below the fender, allow the rocking arms to swivel back into a horizonatl position.
- Slip on the rubber base gasket first, then the base and cover over the threaded collar.
- Pull upwards on the assembly while scerwing down the lock nut until tight. Use caution as overtightening will damage or strip the thread.
- Re-install mast by screwing into the base to complete the installation.
- Connect the antenna cable to the back of the stereo.
Installation Notes
- 25mm / 1" hole required
- Use existing vehicle hold location if present.
- Remove dirt, grime, and undercoat from underside of hole.
